Bern is a New York City-based actor, singer and teacher. He is represented by CPM Talent Management.
Recent engagements include Atung in The Chinese Lady (Artists Rep, Portland) and Frank Victor in My Pet Dragon (35th Parallel Productions).
Some favorite roles include: Stine in City of Angels, Sky Masterson in Guys and Dolls, and Guglielmo in Cosi Fan Tutte.
Bern also loves being involved in new works, and was recently seen in Laura Italiano's The Saboteur, and Annie Sherman's Piaf Lives.
He has performed on three continents (Europe, North America and Asia), is an experienced instrumentalist (keyboards, guitar, ukulele) and ensemble singer (sacred choral works, barbershop, opera choruses), and has performed in NY venues such as Carnegie Hall, Caramoor, Governor's Ball, 54 Below, Green Room 42, Symphony Space, NYC City Hall, and Yankee Stadium.
He holds a Masters of Music in Vocal Performance from NYU, and a B.A. (hon., Phi Beta Kappa) from the University of Chicago.
In addition to performing, Bern maintains a voice studio in New York City and thoroughly enjoys preparing his students for auditions for Broadway, national tours, Off-Broadway shows, regional productions, Film and TV, and college admissions. He is also a faculty member at NYU Steinhardt, where he teaches voice and graduate script analysis.
